‘Zone Out’ (2019) is an award winning short film produced to raise awareness of epilepsy which David edited for Shugakoated Productions in 2019.

The film was inspired by the personal experience of Scottish Artist Sharon Thomas. Filmmaker Linda Campbell from Shugakoated Productions wrote the film and co-produced with producer Karen O’Hare from KohPro Ltd. The film was directed by Tam Hetherton.

“Sharon travels to an interview for a new job that will change her life, but an unscheduled stop is about to change it in ways she can’t begin to imagine. For life”

The film was submitted to the International Epilepsy Day film competition and won 1st prize, with competition from over 40 entries from all over the world. It is hoped the film can continue to educate and raise awareness now and in the future, with both international and local Scottish organisations now using it as an education tool.

Previous filmed include ‘Iain’ (2012) , ‘Saying Hello To Dad’ (2014), ‘The Crawl’ (2014) (closing film: Moving Glasgow Film Festival 2014), ‘No Degrees of Separation’ (2014) (Winner of Best Musical Score at 2014 Glasgow 48 Hour Film Competition).

CherryMan Media was created in 2012 with the production of this short film ‘Iain’, which was nominated for Best Film at the 2012 UWS Showcase Awards. Now in 2020 we thought it was time to have our first film here for everyone to see, previously not released online.
